The location of the cabin was perfect for us as it is away from the main centre of Trysil so very peaceful, yet only 5 mins drive to the ski lifts and restaurants in Hóyfjellet and only 15 mins drive to the main ski area - Turistcenteret. It was alsosee more
The location of the cabin was perfect for us as it is away from the main centre of Trysil so very peaceful, yet only 5 mins drive to the ski lifts and restaurants in Hóyfjellet and only 15 mins drive to the main ski area - Turistcenteret. It was also nice to walk into the village in the evening (15 mins on foot) although we used the car when skiing (it’s at the top of a big hill so we didn’t fancy the walk back in ski boots.)
The cabin itself is simply stunning and exceeded our expectations - as another reviewer has mentioned it actually looks better in real life than the photos. The hot tub is a nice addition and it was lovely to have a soak after a days skiing, even if the -13 temperatures made getting in and out a little refreshing! Beds were comfortable and the cabin is very well equipped - it was hard to force ourselves out and away from the fire some days! Will definitely return and would recommend to anyone who wants to be away from it all in nature yet near to the village |
